The Annual Americana World Festival celebrates the rich diversity of the Iroquois Neighborhood. The event, which takes place on the grounds of the Americana Community Center (4801 Southside Drive), is a collaboration of the Americana Community Center and ValuMarket. The Americana Festival provides an opportunity for many groups to have a day set aside for civic pride and the celebration of their heritage, and has taken place annually since 1997. Average attendance for the festival is 12,000 people. Even the national media has taken notice of this festival. “The world famous Kentucky Derby is still the number one social attraction on Louisville's calendar, but the Americana World Festival, which celebrates the city's cultural diversity, is becoming a big draw,” wrote the Tampa Bay Tribune.
Being part of the Iroquois Neighborhood, we are honored to be a major part of the festival.
